Iron Tide Command: Winning the First Ten Minutes

Iron Tide Command: Winning the First Ten Minutes

July 11, 2026 · Lukas Berger

Iron Tide Command is a patient game, and nowhere is that clearer than the opening. We used to rush our fleet forward and pay for it every time.

The better approach is to secure supply lines first. Your ships are only as strong as what keeps them running, and an early scout of the currents tells you where the enemy can and can't move quickly.

We started baiting opponents into bad positions instead of chasing them. Let them overextend into rough weather, then strike. It's slower, but it wins.

If you're on a phone, take the time to customize the interface — the default layout is cluttered. On a tablet the game breathes easier. Either way, patience is the real weapon here, and the early game rewards it more than anything else.
